Course Description

This course focuses on fundamentals of electric circuits, resistive network analysis, ac network analysis, transient analysis, frequency response and system concepts, AC power, principles of electro-mechanics and introduction to electric machines. Total hours of this course are 40 hours and it will be taught in English. The PPTs of the course will be uploaded to public mailbox in advance. Username and Passport of the public mailbox will be provided to students in the first class.

Course Objectives

1.Students will learn the basic concepts of electric circuits;

2.Students will learn some analysis methods of circuits;

3.Students will learn concepts of AC circuits and analysis method;

4.Students will learn transient Response of First-Order Circuits;

5.Students will learn electricity and Magnetism relationship and Transformers

6.Students will learn working principle of AC machines

Grading Rules

•Total marks of the course: 100 points;

•20% for ordinary score;

•20% for 2 times quizzes;

•20% for mid-term exam;

•40% for final exam.

•Ordinary score contains attendances and assignments. Absence will be seriously considered. Absence for more than Five times will lose the qualification of acquiring marks, and each absence will be fined 1.5 points;

•Late and leave during the class hour early will be seriously considered too, will be fined 0.5 points each time;

•Official permission for absence will be fined 0.5 points each time;

•Assignment is not handed in once will be fined 1 point. If you copy others or scribble the assignments once willed be fined 1 point, too.

Explanations of the Rules

1.The marks of the course will be presented with points instead of the grade such as A, B, C, D. The total mark is 100 points.

2.The attendances and assignments of the students will weigh 30% of the total marks;

3.There will be two quizzes during the class hours that teacher will inform the student in advance. Quizzes will relate to current and previous topics which occupy 20% of the total marks. There will be no make-up quizzes and quizzes will be given only to those students who are present when the quizzes are passed out.

4.There will be a mid-term exam that isn’t arranged during the class hours which will be given separately outside class. Mid-term exam occupies 20% of the total marks. It will relate to current and previous topics. There will be no make-up mid-term exam.

5.The final exam will be comprehensive and the entire contents of the course. It will be given on the exam week. It occupies 40% of the total marks. There will be a make-up final exam.

Course Description

This course focuses on diodes and diode application circuits, basic concepts and the extern parameters of amplifiers, bipolar junction transistor and basic amplifiers circuits, operational amplifiers and the analysis of applications, DC regulated power supply, conceptions and application circuits of digital logic circuits and basic functions of triggers.

Total hours of this course are 40 hours and it will be taught in English.

1.Students will learn the basic concepts of electronics technology;

2.Students will learn the AC and DC analysis methods of the BJT amplifiers;

3.Students will learn the analysis methods of the operational amplifiers to achieve the operations of signals;

4.Students will learn the component circuits of the DC regulated power supply;

5.Students will learn the basic concepts, analysis method and design method of digital circuits.
